The School of Business at Qingdao University of Technology is recruiting English-speaking professional foreign teachers for the undergraduate majors in Financial Management, International Business, and International Economics and Trade. The number of positions available is 3-4. The specific requirements are as follows:
1. Basic Requirements:
(a) Comply with the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China, be friendly towards China, and respect Chinese traditional customs.
(b) Physically and mentally healthy with good conduct, dedicated to academic and educational endeavors, committed to teaching, research, management, and promotion of international cooperation and exchanges within the university. No legal disputes, criminal records, academic misconduct, or any other negative records.
(c) Age should be below 60 years.
(d) Hold a bachelor's degree or higher, with preference given to candidates with master's or doctoral degrees.
(e) Have at least two years of teaching experience, possess standard pronunciation, and hold a foreign expert certificate.
(f) Foreign professional teachers specializing in Management or Economics are preferred. Salary will be determined based on educational qualifications (bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree), and may be adjusted appropriately as the length of employment at the university increases.
(g) Support foreign professional teachers in applying for scientific research projects, and reward those who publish research papers (in the WOS database) with ‘School of Business, Qingdao University of Technology’ as the first author according to regulations.
2. Job Responsibilities:
(a) Mainly responsible for teaching undergraduate students majoring in Financial Management, International Economics and Trade, and International Business. The main courses include Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Management, International Business Management, Financial Market Studies, and Cross-cultural Communication.
(b) The annual working period is 10 months, with a workload of 14-18 teaching hours per week as a principle. If the workload increases due to teaching arrangements, a supplementary agreement will be signed and additional salary will be provided.
(c) Regular salary payments during winter and summer vacations.
3. Salary and Other Benefits:
(a) The pre-tax salary is 15,000-18,000 RMB per month. The housing subsidy is 2,500 RMB per month, making the total monthly salary 17,500-20,500 RMB (pre-tax). The specifics will be discussed during the interview.
(b) After one year of employment, a travel subsidy for family visits will be provided.
(c) One "Business Insurance" for foreign teachers will be purchased.
(d) Cultural visits will be organized 1-2 times per year.
(e) Welfare items for major holidays.
